| Description : | This MOD is a billing system for workgroups. It's dedicated to tariffication of traffic downloaded by GREEN interface users. It's also dedicated to control access to ipcop box. |
| Operation : | This addon counts
traffic which goes from ipcop box to ip addresses of GREEN
interface network. At the end of the day it sends short report to user's e-mail. Also this addon sends general report to administrator's e-mail and to financial manager's e-mail (if this e-mail is set). Addon controls access of users to ipcop box by ip and mac addresses. If user's ip and mac are not in user list then this user will be blocked - he will not be able to receive packets from ipcop box. Addon allows setting up traffic limit for every user. If user exceed his limit he will be blocked and notified by e-mail. |

Here and later TrafficControlAndReport = TCAR. Version 1.1 build 1: - Many small bugfixes. - Added button "Send all reports now"in GUI. - Added "Last report e-mailing log" feature in GUI. - Now SMTP authorization is supported! If you setup SMTP username and SMTP password in GUI - Now It's possible to set Domain name of SMTP server in GUI instead of ip. - Reports emailing code is rewritten. Now sendEmail v1.52 by Brandon Zehm is used. Thanks to Achim Weber. - Administrator access by IP and MAC is abolished. Now any machine from GREEN or BLUE can access ipcop GUI - ports 81, 222, 445 on ipcop. - Now TCAR controls only GREEN and BLUE traffic. Other types of traffic for TCAR is transparent. So DMZ, IPSec and anything else should work. - Now there is Interface field in admin's general report. - BLUE traffic is provided in report in standalone string. - Added support for BLUE interface, BLUE controlling can be enabled or disabled through GUI. - Firewall interaction code is fully rewritten - now all user's traffic managed in both directions upload and download. - Traffic accounting code is rewritten - now all types of traffic accounted in right way and in full volume. build 9: - Now TCAR addon is compatible with BlockOutTraffic v2.2.1-b1 and higher! - Bug fixed: Admin now is unable to make unlimited downloads. build 8b: - Addon was tested on IPCop 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 and worked perfectly. It must be compatible with future versions too. - TCAR addon uses CUSTOMINPUT and CUSTOMFORWARD iptables chain . WARNING: If you have any addon which likes to clean these chains then TCAR will NOT work! |
